On Wednesday 26th April, Straight Down The Middle Golf Society's monthly Stapleford competition was held at the Camposol golf course.
Before the tee-off, Jim Booth, former Captain of the society, announced that this possibly would be his last game in Spain as he had sold his property and was returning to England to live.
On behalf of all the members, the committee would like to thank Jim for all his efforts & ideas in the early days with helping to form a group of golfers of diverse abilities into the friendly and successful society it has become today; not only with golf, but also social events.
The result of the competition was 3 players; Clive Hathaway, Norrie Bull and Dave Griffith shared 2nd position with 31 points, but with a true story book ending on 34 points, the winner was Jim Booth who also won one of the two Nearest the Pin Competitions.
A reminder to members that our next game is at Condado on Thursday 22nd June.
