17 Universities Students Start Extracurricular Courses In Mazarrón

This is part of a programme developed by the Department of Employment and Local Development with the aim of providing university students with tools and practical knowledge to enter the world of work when they finish their studies. During 2016, 54 interns carried out their internships at the City Hall of Mazarrón. Of these, 30% achieved job placements in a related occupation, after carrying out their extracurricular practices.

Dynamization of Leisure Activities for Children and Youth

This is a free training course of free time activities for children and youth education and is aimed at young people under 30. It includes internships in companies and is subsidized by the Regional Training and Employment Service and co-financed by the European Social Fund. The course will last for 310 hours and will take place during March at the Center for Municipal Employment Initiatives Monday to Friday from 9am-2pm.

VIII Vuelta A Murcia Máster

200 cyclists will compete in the VIII Vuelta Ciclista Master of Murcia which starts on Saturday 1st April. In the morning the riders will face a predominantly flat route of 33km with the start and finish in Mazarrón passing through Gañuelas, La Majada, La Atalaya and Leiva. In the afternoon there will be 11kms from La Majada to La Cañadica de Mazarrón. Sunday April 2nd will be the most demanding stage of almost 100km with climbs to Cedacero and La Cuesta.

The Youth Council has organized the weekend trip to ski in the Sierra Nevada. The trip includes bus from Mazarrón and two days of ski passes with limited use of ski lifts, equipment rental, accident insurance, baggage transfer, assistance at destination 24 hours and applicable discounts.
