Working Together To Stamp Out Animal Cruelty
Protectores Nueva Era Águilas is currently dealing with a case regarding mistreatment of animals; 3 dogs to be precise - one of which is confirmed dead. We believe it to be the first legal case (resulting from a denuncia) to be presented to the court in Lorca.
On Tuesday 13th June, volunteers from San Animal Santuario and Helping Hands Sur went to the court at Lorca to support Nueva Era and to show that we are united as a group and will work together to ensure that the necessary bodies/people finally start to take the law seriously and realise that animals have rights too.
We need people to take notice of where mistreatment is happening and to take action by 'denouncing' people at the local police station. Without your eyes and ears and a clear denuncia we won't be able to effect change. Please help.
New Pups On The Block
These 2 little poppets are the last of the litter of 5. Their brothers have found homes. They are approximately 9 weeks old and will be medium sized dogs. The tan puppy is a little girl and the other is her brother. They were living amongst crates on an industrial estate in the heat and the dust. Less than 1 week on, they know what it is to be loved and looked after.
We desperately need people who are able to foster kittens or puppies in their homes, often at short notice. We also need fosterers able to take in adult dogs who aren't coping well in kennels.
We are always looking for volunteers to help out with the animals - for dog walking, feeding and/or playing and grooming.
