Rios de Vida (Rivers of Life) September 2017

Bi-lingual Evangelical Church in Fuente Alamo

Christians Have More Fun.
If you're not a Christian or not a regular reader of our article, does the heading surprise you?

Doesn't it conform to your image of a Christian?
Perhaps it isn't it what you expect from a church?
Aren't Christians supposed to be bound by lots of rules and regulations? Don't they have to wear dowdy clothes and live insular, dull lives?

Nothing could be further from the truth.
We believe in a God who loves us, who wants the best for us. He did not put us on this earth to be miserable! He can fill your life with joy. You really ought to give Him a try.
God wants you to have some fun.

We live in a world that doesn't offer much joy.
Have you watched the news recently?
God wants you to lighten up a little.
Invite Him into your life and feel the difference.

A recent survey in Australia interviewed 1,000 people in the latter years of their lives and asked them, "What would you do differently if you had your time again?"

The most popular answer was – Spend less time working and more with friends and family.
The second was – Have more fun!

As we journey through life we make many mistakes and if we're smart we learn from them. We can learn from our own mistakes. We can learn from other people's mistakes, but the worst mistake we can make is not to learn at all.
Don't make the mistake of not having fun.

True joy is not connected to your circumstances; it is connected to your heart.
Where do you look to for the source of your joy? Is it the TV? The media? If so you need to find another source.
You need to find the Lord.

I'm not talking about happiness here. I'm talking about real, deep-seated joy. I could give you €50 and make you happy, but once you've spent it, it would all be forgotten.
Real joy lasts for ever.

For certain, life is good when you are happy, but real, deep-seated joy is experienced when others are happy because of you.
Are you bringing joy into the lives of others?
You could just cling on to who you are and not allow the Lord to change you, but you'll never know what you are missing.

Join us on Sunday morning. Come and experience the love and joy found with those who know the Lord. Have some fun. Lighten up.

Our Sunday morning services start at 11.30am at Calle Espinar 13, Fuente Alamo.
