Cavalli Foundation August 2017

cavalli Dylan learning to Read and Write with GolfoDylan, a 5 year-old with learning difficulties, has been coming to Cavalli Foundation for Horse Assisted Therapy sessions for just over two months now. He takes his lessons with Cavalli professionals helped by his friend Mollie.

He does supervised exercises to help his social skills, his memory, conversation and reading and writing. At school his teacher reported for the first time that Dylan showed marked improvement in language and behaviour so we're really proud of him and mum is ecstatic!

cavalli Feeding time June Summer CampJune Camp was an out and out success; one of the best ever, a great crowd of kids, lovely atmosphere and loads of fun.

The Spanish Para Dressage team took part in the Hartpury Dressage Festival (Hartpury, England). At first it was a bit intimidating as they were competing against the British Olympic Gold Medal Team, Ireland and Hong Kong amongst others, whose competitors were riding horses owned by Carl Hester and the Grimaldi Family. However, the Spanish Team was placed 3rd and three individual Spanish Paraequestrian riders classified for the European Para Dressage Championship in Gotenborg, Sweden in August this year.

cavalli Goslings in the WaterThis past month our goslings have grown tremendously and are eating us out of house and home. They are beginning to try their wings. A long splash in the water always goes down well afterwards.

Our two Belgian riders, Rani and Jade, were here for July. Both girls suffer from rare genetic diseases. At home they spend their time between school and studies and doctors' appointments and Physio. At Cavalli they let their hair down and ride their favourite ponies. Rani jumps with Midnight and Jade is now cantering on Mollie. They love it! They say that at Cavalli it's the only place where they are treated like normal teenagers.
We help horses and our horses help people!

cavalli Rani and Jade on Midnight and MollieWe would like to thank all the Cavalli friends and followers who are actively involved in our work either as volunteers, as sponsors or just by coming to ride whenever they have chance and give our horses, ponies and the dogs a well-earned cuddle or a treat.
