Over 220 people joined together at Mariano’s restaurant on New Year’s Eve for a really enjoyable evening. They were entertained by the lovely Lucinda, Kinnie Lee and the always popular Beagles. Between them all, they kept the dance floor full all night. Many thanks to Jill and Chris for preparing all the lovely food. At midnight the twelve grapes were eaten for good luck and were followed by a glass of cava. There were 24 raffle prizes, many of which were donated by Welcome supporters. Many thanks to all the volunteers who turned up in the morning and in the afternoon to help get the room ready for the evening and also those who turned up on the Saturday to clear up the room. We could not have done it without you. It was lovely after all the Christmas and New Year events to hear that many people had made new friends sitting at their tables. This is what the Welcome Group is all about.

Isn’t it nice to see a room full of people laughing and enjoying themselves! That is what happened at Mariano’s restaurant on Wednesday 13th January when over 80 people met to play Bingo, Family Fortunes and Beetle Drive and then answer a very easy Quiz. Congratulations to the MADCAPS for winning the Quiz, (they received free tickets for a Welcome event) , to SON JUBILADOS for winning the Family Fortunes, (they also received free tickets), Audrey Stott for scoring the most points on the Beetle Drive, (she won a lovely hamper of goodies) and to all the Bingo Winners who went home with a selection of wine. The evening was rounded off with a free raffle.

Tickets on sale at the moment are for our March 22nd Dance where we will be entertained by Nick Gold, Eddie Wallace and the lovely Maria O´Hara - Tickets 10€.

Ladies’ Evening on Wednesday 3rd March when we will have a Fashion Show courtesy of Legs and Co, Bingo and Dancing to Martin Ross of the Beagles - 3€.
Both events will be held at Mariano’s Restaurant, Camposol.

Our next meeting is Saturday 6th February at 2.00pm at Mariano’s Restaurant, Camposol where tickets will go on sale for our 21st April Dance where we will be entertained by the comedian Allan Wallace brought back by popular demand and Showaddywaddy Legends . We will also be having a disco - Tickets 9€.

Also on sale that day tickets for our popular Treasure Hunt on Sunday April 18th. 7€ including a lovely buffet at the final destination. A chance to explore some new countryside.
