Last month we started a massive campaign to raise money in order for us to purchase some land and move forward with our work rescuing and helping ill-treated animals.
We want to raise 100,000€ to buy some land and be able to expand our charity. We have set up a gofundme appeal to help us achieve this massive target https://www.gofundme.com/andreas-animal-rescue-needs-help.
I know this is not going to be a quick fix thing, but we have to be positive and I know Kevin and I and our bunch of dedicated followers, supporters and volunteers will make this happen. Currently any new equines that come into AAR's care have to go into livery at a cost of 100€ per month. We currently have 5 in livery and it won't stop there. We have also set up an Animal Rescue Needs Rescuing Fundraising page on Facebook which will shortly be up to date with the current status of the appeal and things going on.
We have recently managed to rehome 3 of the donkeys that were in livery. They are going to Alicante to live with Leanne and Alex, a Norwegian couple.
We still have Freddy, Jerry, Zante and India that are looking for their new homes. However these are dogs not donkeys, so they won't need a paddock or stables; just loving people who like walking. Freddy (3 Years) is a Pointer/Dalmatian cross. He has great manners and has had some training. Jerry, (18 months) was in the campo to the North of Murcia. He was rescued by a loyal supporter of ours and has been brought back to a good healthy boy. He is wire haired and again a loving boy who just likes to please. Zante and India his sister were left outside our gates as 6 week old puppies. What a gorgeous pair of dogs they have grown up to be. Both are so soft and cuddly. Zante is very German Shepherd looking and India looks Mastine with a lighter colouring. These four currently live in our home and are not kennelled. They are house trained and will walk on the lead. The pups do need a little more training. Our little Ruby is waiting for that forever lap to keep warm. If short walks are your thing then Ruby with her short legs is the girl for you.
They all have passports, are micro chipped and fully vaccinated, along with packed bags!! Call me on 690 906 565 and I can arrange an introduction.
As usual I will be on Camposol B Car Park, every Monday from 11.30am-1.30pm to collect any unwanted goods. All your donations are very gratefully received. They can also be dropped off at either of our shops in Roldan or Mazarron Town, 10.30am-1.30pm.
