LOS REYOS MAGOS spread joy among the young. There was a parade of 6 floats with people in various costumes. This marked the end of the holidays with the arrival of the Magi to the homes of the citizens of Mazarrón. The youngest of the municipality enjoyed gifts and toys that the REYES MAGOS brought them during the afternoon and on Friday night.
"Mazarrón, déjate querer" is the latest work of La Rondalla de Mazarrón comprising 14 tracks which include several dedicated to the municipality and its coast, including "Bolero a Mazarrón", "Murcia, Costa Cálida" and "Himno a Mazarrón". There are 1,000 copies of the album which can be purchased at various shops and establishments in the municipality at the price of 8€.
Mention prehistoric cave paintings and many people's thoughts would immediately turn to France. However, Spain has an unsurpassed richness of prehistoric art, and nowhere in the country can offer more than the region of Murcia. Not only that, but it is often possible to go and see these ancient paintings which have miraculously survived several thousand years.

Hopefully, some good news for Spain's economy and in particular, the Murcia region. Despite the criticism, scrutiny, change of government, and lack of funding, Spanish officials and private investors alike, seem to have been successful in navigating through the infamous red tape and numerous hurdles which should now result in a much needed boost to the economy and secure the future for the region.

British residents are urged to tell visiting friends and family to make sure they get a European Heath Insurance Card (EHIC) before they travel to Spain.
The EHIC is free and should be regarded as 'a holiday essential' in order to get necessary medical treatment from the Spanish public health service while on a temporary stay in Spain, says the Pension Benefit and Healthcare Team of the British Embassy in its latest newsletter.
Dog and cat owners will find it cheaper and easier to travel to the UK with their pets when new rules are introduced at the start of next year.
The UK will harmonise its pet movement rules with the rest of the European Union from 1 January 2012, bringing the UK's Pet Travel Scheme into line with the most recent science.
